Chipko movement/Chipko Andolan refers to a forest conservation movement. Chipko type movement dates back to 1730 AD Brahmaiah M from Bellary when in khejarli village of Rajasthan, 363 people(Bishnoi’s) sacrificed their lives to save khejri trees. It gained momentum under activist Sunderlal Bahuguna. #DograsWeblog #ChipkoMovement
